星期四的早晨从图书馆出来 mierda 天又要亮了
周一周三的课是一直上不停的 早上10：30到下午4：30。之后CCIB讲座到7点，Stat problem session之后紧接着是blue chips的会。本来是可以逃的可是这次ruslan请来了商学院的cochrane, 上次听他讲座就醍醐灌顶之感，这次更是不敢错过。
于是一折腾就10点多了。这个周末我犯傻喝多了，两门统计课的作业开始的不多，于是从晚上起患兄难弟同欢共苦。最后图书馆24小时开的楼层剩下了不到10个人，终于结束的时候，我却又精神奕奕了。
前几周有点消沉，工作没个准自信心有点受打击。这几天接连收到了stamford，芝加哥两个offer，感觉找回来了。总结整个找实习过程自己一直没当什么回事，总觉得周围从不把面试当回事的哥们们都找到工作，自己也不需要练习了。几个rejection之后还是没咋练习，一心想去巴西，最后幸亏运气好面试也有点轻车熟路才奋斗到给andrew alper工作的机会。经济萧条阿，一次两次靠运气，之后就要自己加油了。
不容易啊，两门艰难的统计课已经让我熬了三个通宵。加上sosc, experimental economics, 还有旁听的西班牙语，还有其他的各种会议。对不起你，我的日历很难重复放下同一个名字。准备这学期结束了回家待两周，中医修养调整两周。这一年折腾得健康下降了不少，可是需要补补气血了。

i thought this is what people do in high school, but well guess im still immature enough to relive my teenage years. just untagged some fobbish pictures and remove all the nerdy favorite books and quotes from facebook. what cant change is my 15 years' of being all ambitious and over-confident in china, 5 years being the tom boy among some of the most nerdy and kiasu students in spore, and now becoming more aware of myself in chicago. it's hard to say that im now closer to my inner hidden spanish/latin american carefree and lively nature or growing apart from the self defined by my cultural background and family. well, college is supposed to be the place to find out, hopefully.

Hear us out. Don't judge us before you get to know us... that makes us sad :(

True, we are members of the notorious Moose Party, known previously for its antics of trying to bring down established order and creating chaos and catastrophe in its place.

However, today we are here to declare that we are not a farce! We understand how seriously many people take this SG stuff. If we did not truly believe ourselves to be worthy candidates we would not be running. 

Our names are Daniel Kimeldorf, Charlie Hughes and Anindya Kundu. Briefly, we are three smart, handsome, charismatic, animal-loving, well-endowed gentlemen who are committed to improving the quality of Student Life here at UChicago. 

If you were to take one hand, and put up one finger for every real change that Student Government has made during your time here, would you even be able to legitimately smack Zach Burt? 

Personally, I couldn't. That may be due to what some may call my personal "apathy" on the subject...but whose fault is that really? Even though Student Government has a blog (soon to get a twitter, maybe?!) I don't have the time to check it. 

That brings us to our platform.
Simply, it revolves around common sense and having an adapting mindset that will lead to real noticeable changes here on campus. Our current ideas (which expand daily) are as follows:

Student Life:
-Quarterly petting-zoos on the quad. Seasonal animals will be brought out. 
-Not closing students out: Keeping the side-door of the Reynolds club open as long as the building stays open, as well as Bartlett's back door during Bart Mart hours. 
-Incorporating the vigilante justice of Batman and Rorshach to the UCPD taskforce.
-Alphabet Soup Wednesdays. (Explained further if elected) 
-Fireman poles in the Reg.
-A Year 11 Formal!
-A Hipster Cave next to Cobb to smoke in during inclement weather.
-Dental Dam Easter-Egg Hunt.
-Replace the computers that no one uses in Reynold's Club with Nintendo 64s. Also, N64s in each house.
-Ban unicycles.

Budget:
-Cut the budget allotted for Student Government campaigning (we seriously got too much money). We ball on budgets.
-Flex dollar systems for local restaurants and Kimbark Liquors (all buffet style).
-Convert Shoreland into a casino where you can gamble with flex points.

Academics:
-Reform the Core to include a required 3-quarter Social Skills sequence. As a result, Hygiene For Dummies will be on reserve at every library. And toothbrushes.
-Establish an exchange program with the Somali pirates for the Pirates class.
-Add Drinking Game Theory as an Econ elective.
-The robot arm at the new library used to retrieve books will be re-programmed to complete HW, J D's and write papers. Plagiarism will not be condoned. 
-The song Goodbye Horses will be played during passing time between classes at Cobb. 

Faculty:
-Robert Zimmer must tender his resignation prior to May 1, 2009, and give his job to his brother, George Zimmer.
-The University will accept Ted O'Neil's resignation if and only he erects a 15-foot bronze statue of himself naked in the middle of the Quad.

We aim highly, and that's more than you can say about some other candidates.

Be sure to attend the SG Slate debate at 7:30 on Tuesday, April 14th in the McCormick Lounge. It will be an eye-opening, entertaining event. 

Also be sure to attend our Victory Party, Friday of 5th week at 5714 S. Woodlawn Ave.

不知不觉的 新的学期也跑了两个星期了.
这学期开始的非常stressful，经济学的课程报的人太多定不下来。大四的哥们帮我签pink slip结果教授发封邮件给他“你不是已经registered了吗”。一个人情欠下了，可称还是没搞定。最后决定转到stat 245，统计学Minor只要再选5门课搞定，所以从Political science转跑了。跟我周围三心二意经常换专业的朋友们看齐。
我还开始学习西班牙语了。这个难啊。因为没有上过101，上102就跟同时拿两门课一样。上课听不懂郁闷死。亏得背后有一干西班牙语支持大军。搞笑的是俺在校园close frienfds里西班牙语流利的比会说一点中文的多几倍。虽然经常被笑话俺西语口音听起来很亚洲，但是听这帮子叽里呱啦豪放似打架般地说西语俺的motivations马上就来了。可是。。。还是好难啊。
学校学校。几周前听asher roth的i love college, 都感慨俺们学校实在不像其他的学校。但也有些好玩的事情。第一周的星期六第一次操办了个火锅Party，sam很冲动的买了9磅牛羊肉，5磅蔬菜，结果半个DU兄弟会来蹭饭都没有吃光。亲爱的veronica生日，上他家吃饭，v的男朋友给我们做5 courses泰国饭，我在新加坡近5年都没吃过这么好吃的泰国菜。据说这家伙做的意大利菜能让意大利人流眼泪。俺在rib受摧残两年，性格里一直也对生活细节不大在意，高级餐馆和小店都是一样香。但是长大了一些开始改变欣赏水准并思考生活态度了。chipotle固然好吃，但城里那家夏威夷餐馆一口口的味道的complexity是回味无穷的。就像出去party, 和朋友的朋友从washington university of st louis来，半专业的模特，真人就像从catalog上走下来。场合需要精致的妆容，小裙子，高跟发光的clutch。而昨天的dke的热浪frat地板粘糊糊套上tank top，最脏的一双converse鞋就可以应付一口气待到afterparty。前几天看new republic上一小文说高压力下的生活感情像快餐，其实感觉大学生活如果不跟俺的些hipster的朋友混得话个方面都像快餐。不过也没有什么不好的, 学生年代已去不复返阿。i love college,但是不像asher roth那种方式爱。虽然离家多年，但没有保留一点爹娘艰苦奋斗的优良传统就太对不起家乡父老了哈。
